Time to come home!

We came home on Wednesday because it did not appear that there was an end in sight to the rain. Lilly Belle was telling me that I had enough computer time and when we went out to lunch and the sky looked like this, we decided to pack up and come home to sunny Raleigh!

Couch

Avett can get on and off the couch all by himself now. I found Lilly Belle on the couch, she must have gotten herself up there but I did not witness it.

I HATE FROGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone who knows me, knows that I HATE FROGS! With 6+ inches of rain, all the frogs in Florida have decided to visit our street. They are even trying to get in the townhouse. I freaked out when I saw this frog on the sliding glass door. Jim told me that there were lots of frogs outside so I would not even take Avett and Lilly Belle out!

We played out in the back yard last night. We got Avett and Lilly Belle tie-outs so they could have a bit of freedom in the yard.

Babies first time at the beach

Avett and Lilly Belle loved the beach. Lilly Belle just wanted to dig in the sand and run. Avett, of course just wanted to jump on Lilly Belle and play. When we got back to the townhouse, Lilly Belle just crashed on the cold tile kitchen floor - I think the beach tired her out!! Avett, no way, still lots of energy! We walked to the beach this morning but found out that we can drive on the beach so tomorrow we will drive down with our cooler and chairs and everything but the kitchen sink!

Frosty Paws

Today at Publix I found Frosty Paws. I love to buy anything and everything for Avett and Lilly Belle so I could not resist. I got peanut butter flavor, they come in a box of 4 so I split 1 between the 2. They loved it!! Linda told me the other day that Avett and Lilly Belle hit the jackpot when they got Jim and I as parents, I hope they feel the same way!

Puppies first long road trip

The puppies were so good on the trip. We hit traffic in SC for about1½ hours (bad accident) - Lilly Belle started to make some noise so we just pulled off to the side of 95 and let the pups out to go potty and have a drink of water. Then when we got to St Augustine, we had to wait for about 5 minutes at the draw bridge and they were getting antsy. Other than that, that was the only time they made any noise on the whole trip. We put them in their crates at 10:00 last night and they slept until about 7:30 this morning.

Disgusting

This is kind of disgusting but they gave me these pictures of my uterus and appendix when I left the hospital. I am a tough girl, surgery at about 4:00 am, went home at 1:00 pm. They figured since I was up and walking around that I may as well get better rest from home!

Sympathy Pains

I woke up at 2:00 in the morning May 6 and had terrible stomach pain. I do not usually get belly aches (not to be confused with belly aching!) or even wake up when I don't feel well so I knew something was wrong. Actually I joked that I was having sympathy pains for our boy Avett. As the day progressed, the pain subsided but Jim talked me into going to the Emergency Room. Good thing - I am typing from my hospital bed at the Wake Med Main Campus. At about 4:00 this morning, they removed my appendix. They gave me a picture so I will post it when I get home. I am a bit sore but feel better, just very tired.

Avett

Our baby boy Avett got fixed today - Jim is going to pick him up around 4:00. The vet said that he is able to get up and hold his head up. I feel so bad for the little guy!
